Meryl's Ski Sweater

Posted Tue Sep 29, 2009, 20:32 PM by Tracy
This is my sister-in-law’s Christmas present. For 2008. Meryl’s mother had a blue ski sweater that Meryl inherited. She loved it, but alas, it was lost some where along the way. All I had to go on was a poor-quality scan of a 28 year-old photo. More ...

Aran Long Cardigan

Posted Sun Feb 01, 2009, 21:25 PM by Tracy

Digital photography is a miserable thing. I have yet to figure out the ideal combination of shutter speed and aperature to bring out the shadows of white-on-white cables. Lighting has something to do with it, too. Someday I should take a class and really learn this stuff.

Craftsman jacket

Finally I am done! I was just so tired of working on this beast for so long, over a year, I sat myself down yesterday and had a good marathon session that got me to within a couple rows of completing the front edge. Finished it off this morning.

Dad's Camel Cardigan

Here it is, the final product. I had Dad try it on when he was here. The sleeves were a little short so I added about 1-1/2” to them.

Last year’s Christmas present, finally done. Yay! The shawl collar worked out perfectly. Very cozy and I’m sure “Professor Brian” will appreciate it – come next winter.

Black tweed pullover

Posted Mon Feb 24, 2003, 21:12 PM by Tracy

This sweater has met all my expectations. Too bad the black yarn just doesn’t show the detail so well in a digital photo.

There’s a fullness at the shoulders which I had not planned for, but I am finding rather charming.

Molteni jersey

Posted Sun Apr 28, 2002, 21:20 PM by Tracy

This sweater is a Christmas 2001 present for my brother-in-law. He wanted a sweater based on a bicycle racing jersey, formerly belonging to Eddie Merck of the Molteni racing team. The original jersey is shortsleeved. Note the fancy stripes on the newly added cuff. These stripes denote bicycle championship status.
