The flu diet – not recommended by four out of five doctors. Or any, for that matter. Still, I lost 3 lbs in 24 agonizing hours. Not so agonizing considering I spent most of those hours asleep. But agonizing aplenty for intermittent moments of consciousness.
I got my monthly headache on schedule Tuesday. Wednesday was bad enough I had to leave work after a couple hours. I perked up in the afternoon, so I put in some hours on the laptop. I thought I’d be back to normal Thursday.
Thursday I woke up feeling like utter crap. It wasn’t the worst headache of my life. I’ve had headaches so bad, cranial self-trepanation sounded like a good idea. But on top of that, my stomach hurt and I just felt crappy all over.
As part of the flu diet I ate:
- One (1) apple;
- some chicken broth;
- a few bites of scrambled egg;
- nope, that’s about it.
I’m better now, but still a little dingy.
