Remember back a few weeks when there was a big stink about former Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger taking home classified documents relevant to 9/11 commission investigations from the National Archive?
Turns out he didn’t after all. All original documents have been accounted for. Nothing missing. He wasn’t even given originals to look at. Everything has been turned over to the commission. Huh.
I heard Daniel Shore talk about this on NPR. Wall Street Journal ran a page six article, but otherwise, nothing in the media. I had to track it down through a few lefty bloggers. This is the best I could do. The WSJ requires (not free) subscription, so I can’t point you to the article.
One might ask, if Sandy Berger had done nothing wrong, why did he feel it necessary to resign from working on the Kerry campaign?
In China there’s a saying: when walking through your neighbor’s pumpkin patch, do not bend to tie your shoes.
