Play it again, Sam.

Casablanca was on TV the other night, so of course we stayed home and watched. A classic. It got me to thinking about other movies that I can watch over and over: My Fair Lady
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
(starting to notice an Audrey Hepburn theme here?)
Some Like it Hot
Singin’ in the Rain
Citizen Kane
The Sons of Katie Elder

I could go on. What movies can you watch over and over?

  1. Mine are all chick flicks or sci-fi: Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi (is OK), Ladyhawke, Emma, Pride and Predjudice (AE Version), Romancing the Stone, The Matrix, and anything with Jackie Chan in it.

  2. I'm a weepy romantic--Room With A View, Enchanted April (any Merchant Ivory), Sleepless in Seattle. But how does Mrs. Doubtfire fit in there?

  3. Bladerunner, Star Wars (4-6), Fight Club, Spy Game, Snatch, Office Space - love 'em

  4. Pulp Fiction definitely.

    Four Weddings and a Funeral
    Notting Hill
    Star Wars (all of them)

  5. a fish called wanda, pretty woman, the breakfast club, state and main, lost in translation, amelie

  6. Roman Holiday! To Kill a Mockingbird. I won't go on. You're already detecting a bit of a Gregory Peck theme there.

  7. Oh yes, I forgot Room with a View! I also add my vote for a Fish Called Wanda as well. I'll then throw in Much Ado About Nothing, Labyrinth and Haunted Summer (or Gothic, pretty much the same movie).

Austin Powers is always good for a laugh or two.

  8. And I forgot Monty Python and the Holy Grail! I had seen it 25 times by the time I was 17. My son's almost caught up with me. Nee!

  9. The ones I do watch repeatedly include: A Room With a View, The Jerk, The Philadelphia Story (Cary Grant, Katie Hepburn, James Stewart -- it's brilliant!), The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Amelie, Rumble in the Bronx, and Office Space... I'm forgetting something, I just know it.
