Chewing rocks.

Day and night, it doesn’t matter. I clench my jaw and grind my teeth. I wake up feeling slightly sick. I have a perpetual headache.

I picked up the habit a few months back when, in the midst of all the dealing-with-Mom’s-situation stress, I had a tooth crowned. The dentist left it a little high and I unconsciously ground my teeth together trying to even out the tooth. The dentist made good, filing down the new crown so that my teeth fit together correctly, but the grinding habit stayed with me.

This sad little blog is turning into a complaint of my aches and pains. Have I mentioned the nerve problem in my left arm?

  1. I do that too when I'm feeling stressed out. Just keep reminding yourself during the day to relax your jaw. I also found that muscle relaxants taken before bed will usually help the jaw pain in two to three days.
